- An HTML 4.0 Transitional validation uncovered a number of new non-fatal but uncompliant markup errors. All were corrected and the entire set now validates to the Transitional DTD.
- Slide sam85-0.htm was modified to reduce confusion over the example.

- The OPTGROUP slide will have to be redeveloped because HTML 4 does not support nested optgroups

- In the move to W3C space some directory structure changes were made. All effected links have been updated.
- An unsupported TABLE attribute was detected in a validation sweep done by W3C staff. The offending attribute, "valign=bottom" appeared in the perl scripts, so the entire slide set had to be recompiled to remove it.
- a few other broken links came to light and were fixed.
- all supplementary files had their copyright dates changed to 2000 and supplementary files that did not have copyright announcements had them added.
- The index page was modified slightly and renamed to index.html

- A W3C link verification check turned up a few broken links... some due to typographic errors, some due to one missing supplementary file. These problems were corrected.

- Complete recompilation of slide sets
- Addition of previous/next slide nav-cluster at bottom of page
- Removal of "Top of Page" link on every page (it was only there to get people back to the top prev/next nav-cluster and was therefore redundant.
- Link in slide sam96-0.htm was fixed (thanks to JA for pointing it out).
- Copyright date and other references to 1999 changed to reflect Y2000.
- Some minor stylesheet changes.
- Reorganization of multimedia files into a subdirectory and relinked examples (mmsqt.htm and mmsmil.htm) for easier file management
- Creation of README.txt file in the /tools directory explaining procedures for compiling and editing of slide sets.

- Corrected some spelling errors.
- Added a ZIPped version of the QuickTime movie (waicatch.mov) to the set. This allows downloading of the clip without a quicktime plugin trying to run it in real time (which can be annoying). See the list of archive links on the Index page.
- At Geoff Freed's request, changed the anticipated release date for the MAGPIE editor (in mmsoftwr.htm)

- reviewed SAM52-0 to SAM120-0 : Netscape doesn't like some markup between <P> and </P>. Also, Netscape doesn't like STYLE="" in IMG. Lots of minor fixes, often due to stray end-tags, but often oddities like having to include a spurious </DIV> to some files for Netscape 4.0.
- reviewed INT and GID and CHk for style problems. Minor changes.
